Doran’s Blade/Ring gives a much stronger laning phase. They’re VERY gold efficient, but delay your core items. Use this to try and claw back your laning phase that you messed up, or to push ahead if you didn’t have the gold for anything in your core build. Always.

PSA: Doran’s Blade Omnivamp DOES NOT STACK with multiple Doran’s Blades. I still see so many people building multiple Doran’s Blades in both solo q & pro, and since it doesn’t show it’s a unique passive in game it’s easy to miss. Almost always better to get different items.
Why do people buy double Dorans blade?
Buying double dorans allows you to be a huge lane bully. Some ADCs will build triple dorans blades which will allow them to pretty much stay in lane as long as they want. You got an early lead and go back to shop.
Is cull better than dorans Blade?
Conclusion. Doran’s Blade is a better item if you’re planning on dueling or skirmishing. Cull is better if you’re planning on farming. Most ADCs take Doran’s Blade because they know that farming in peace for 10-15 minutes is rare, and they would rather be prepared for ganks or fights.
