TL;DR – Determination is a powerful feat, but check with your DM if UA feats are allowed. If so, and you typically get 1 or 2 short rests per day, it is definitely worth taking, rivaling (and to an extent exceeding) the Lucky feat. Our campaign has been fairly slow – really only 1 major interaction per day.
Do humans start with a feat in 5e?
In the basic rules we don’t get feats. Humans have the choice of either starting with +1 to all six stats, or +1 to two stats, proficiency in a skill, and a starting feat.
What is human determination?
Prerequisite: Human. You are filled with a determination that can draw the unreachable within your reach. You gain the following benefits: Increase one ability score of your choice by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Is Resilient good 5e?
Whether you increase in level or delay the feat to raise your Constitution ability score, Resilient is always the better option at higher levels. If you’re taking the feat at level 12, I recommend taking Resilient (CON), unless your campaign is ending at that level.
Can you have a feat at level 1?
Short answer: that’s entirely up to your DM. Expended explanation: Level 1 characters don’t stay level 1 for long enough for this to really matter.
Can you use a Cantrip with Warcaster?
Yes if you use a level 1 or higher spell, however… Cantrips also classify as spells, but they are considered level 0 which do not expend spell slots. So you can actually cast a Shocking Grasp for example, or any other cantrip you would like!
Is Fey touched good?
Fey Touched is phenomenally powerful, to the point I’m legitimately surprised it made the cut to Tasha’s Cauldron unchanged. Divination and Enchantment is a very potent list to pull from, and Misty Step is a pretty phenomenal piece of kit. Half-feating on top of it is almost obnoxiously good.
