How do you type moves on Lichess?
On Lichess, enable text input by going to and enabling “Input moves with the keyboard”.
How do you use KB on Lichess?
You have to go to your profile, then prefrences, then game behaviour and then scroll to input moves with keyboard and select yes. On your next game it should allow you to type moves in.
What is kb Lichess?
Kb is keyboard input which means you can tap a letter on your keyboard and your pieces will move.
Can you make multiple Premoves on Lichess?
To use current Lichess premoving system you need a skill. To make seven moves in a row: you need nothing. If premoves will take 0,1 sec, you will losing by time in winning positions and multiple premoves won’t help you.

What is Zen mode on lichess?
New feature: “Zen mode” hides your opponent’s rating, chat and scoreboard. Only the board and clock remain! Toggle Zen mode in your profile dropdown menu while playing.
What’s the keyboard move input option in chess?
Really happy to see keyboard move input option added recently. Kind of disappointed to see it required LAN (long algebraic notation) instead of SAN (short algebraic notation). For example, for the opening move, you have to type e2 e4 instead of just e4. Or g8 f6 instead of Nf6.
Is there a KB extension for Lichess keyboard?
You can still install the previous KB extension from here: (but it won’t receive updates). The Multi Premove + Keyboard extension will continue to be supported but will be distributed as a developer version.

Why is it faster to move with your king on keyboard chess?
It is faster because you don’t have to drag and drop. Also, especially in the endgame, you can hold keys down. E.g. when moving with your king in the endgame you can just hold the king key down and move your mouse around like crazy.
