To have a few “good tricks” up their sleeves. I played a Warlock once who had a Ring of Spell Storing and I only had other characters cast spells into it. It was great used that way, but the spells were cast at the level used to cast them into the ring, not 5th level. A Ring of Spell Storing is incredibly powerful!
