Public Beta Now Available Via Steam. March 9, 2009 — Today, Ubisoft announces that the Public Beta Test for R.U.S.E., a one-of-a-kind real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by Eugen Systems, is now supported through and available for download and installation on Steam.
Why was ruse removed Steam?
In December 2015, R.U.S.E. was pulled from Steam due to a military licensing issue which was revealed on March 31, 2016. According to Ubisoft, they stated the reason that “Due to the expiration of licensing rights over certain military items within the game, R.U.S.E. is no longer available for purchase”.
Can you add CD games to Steam?
Which retail/digital CD Keys are accepted on Steam? Log in to the Steam client application (if you haven’t yet, you can download the Steam client here). Click the button labeled “+ Add a Game” on the bottom left on the Steam client and select “Activate a Product on Steam…” and follow the on-screen instructions.
How do I buy a game key on Steam?
Keys are obtained by requesting them in the Steamworks portal. To request keys, click the “Request Steam Product Keys” button on your application’s landing page in Steamworks. If you don’t see that button, your account doesn’t have “Generate Steam Keys” permission.
Can you still buy ruse for PC?
We reached out to Ubisoft for comment, and they say it all comes down to some expired licenses. “Due to the expiration of licensing rights over certain military items within the game, R.U.S.E is no longer available for purchase,” Ubisoft tells us.
Will there be a ruse 2?
With Ubisoft shutting down the R.U.S.E. official site, the only conclusion I can draw to is: it is unlikely for there to be a R.U.S.E. 2 coming out next year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t going to be R.U.S.E. sequel.
