When is Webkinz going to be removed from browsers?
As many of you have heard, Flash – the technology on which Webkinz runs – will be removed completely from browsers in 2020. As that time nears, using Flash in browsers will become more difficult. We at GANZ are dedicated to ensuring that Webkinz can be enjoyed for years to come.
Why are there so many dormant Webkinz accounts?
In a blog post earlier this year explaining its decision to begin archiving dormant accounts, Ganz said “millions of Webkinz accounts have been created since we launched in 2005, and for various reasons, many of those accounts have since become inactive. Over time, that has added up to a huge amount of data that needs to be stored.”
