In a blog post earlier this year explaining its decision to begin archiving dormant accounts, Ganz said “millions of Webkinz accounts have been created since we launched in 2005, and for various reasons, many of those accounts have since become inactive. Over time, that has added up to a huge amount of data that needs to be stored.”
What to do when your pet Won’t Move On Webkinz?
The ‘walk’ button is active (green). If the walk button is active, and your pet still isn’t moving, please click ‘map’ and then click on another room in your house. If you only have one room, please purchase another one and then click on it.
How can I recover my parents Webkinz account?
If you’re already provided a Parent’s Email for their account you can choose this option to recover their login information. If you have not yet provided a Parent’s Email, you will need to use a Secret Code from one of your Webkinz Pets to recover their login information.
How can I Delete my Child’s Webkinz account?
You can delete your child’s Webkinz account using a Parent’s Account that is set up in the Account Controls section of the Parent’s Area. Once you submit your request, your child’s account will be deleted after 7 days. Also, if your child does not log in to their account for 18 months it will be archived.
How to recover your Webkinz World user name and password?
If you already have an account have your parent visit the Parent’s Area from the home page and create a Parent’s Account. The parent’s email they use to create their Parent’s Account can also be used to recover your Webkinz World user name and password.
What happens if you leave your Webkinz account inactive?
If you’ve left your account inactive for more than a year and don’t log in by September 30th, your pet will be deleted forever. Ganz declined to comment, but tweeted in response to this story, “Webkinz don’t die.
Is it possible to play Webkinz after mass deletions?
Even after the mass deletions, Webkinz will still be around. If you restore your account by the given deadline, you’re free to play the game online as usual, and Ganz even developed mobile and desktop apps to support it well into the future. But it’s not clear if nostalgia alone will be enough to keep the site afloat.
