The Hannah Wendigo will actually kill off a few of the other monsters, but you need to stay completely still when the game calls for it. When asked to save Mike or run, save Mike; when asked to run or hide, hide. This will let your friends slip out the door. You’ll then have one last choice to run or hide – hide.
Can Mike survive in until dawn?
He is one of three characters who cannot die until Chapter 10. The other two are Sam and Josh. If Mike dies, he is always the last character to die.
Should you save Mike or run to switch?
If you save Mike, Ashley will have one less potential death. If you run to the switch, Ashley will be killed in the explosion (including Mike and possibly Emily, but never Chris). If you do nothing, Mike will be thrown against a pillar, resulting in his inevitable death later on.
Will Ashley die if she investigates the voice?
If you choose to investigate the voice, Ashley goes down a separate path. There’s some moaning, and Ashley has to decide whether to open a door that is being banged on from the other side. If she opens it, a Wendigo comes out and beheads her. It’s a fairly random and pernicious death: If she’s kind, she dies.
Will Emily turn into a Wendigo?
Emily can fall into a grinding mill while escaping from a Wendigo, crushing her legs and lower abdomen. Emily can be shot in the eye by Mike, who fears that her bite will turn her into a Wendigo. Emily can be burned alive in the lodge if Sam chooses to run for the switch too early.
What happens if Ashley investigates the voice?
If Ashley goes to investigate the voice she assumes is Jessica’s, and opens the trapdoor or unlocks its latch, a Wendigo will pop out and decapitate her.
What happens if you don’t shoot Ashley or Chris?
When Chris is about to leave with the Stranger, Ashley will follow them to close the door later. If Chris didn’t shoot her, she will tell Chris to come back safe, before kissing him. If Chris did not shoot Ashley and was able to make it to the lodge, Ashley will open the door for him, saving his life.
Why was Hannah a Wendigo?
Hannah as the Wendigo. Hannah is the main Wendigo introduced in-game, as she hunts the group throughout the whole game a year after the incident. After Hannah survived her fall, she ate the flesh of her deceased sister in order to survive. The spirit of the Wendigo however, possessed her and changed her into a Wendigo.
What happens if Matt saves Emily?
BUTTERFLY EFFECT UPDATE (Save Emily): If Matt tries to save Emily, he ends up falling deeper into the mine only to get caught and killed by the Wendigo (unless he has the Flare Gun earlier so he can get a shot at defending himself).
What happens if you point the gun at Ashley?
Pointing the gun at Ashley and shooting her will earn you the “Fatal Grudge” trophy.
What happens when Matt tries to save Emily?
Matt has a choice about saving Emily or jumping to safety. Matt survives if he jumps to safety. If he tries to save Emily twice, she falls anyway, and Matt is tossed to a landing. Emily appears to die, but she doesn’t. At that point, a Wendigo finds Matt.

Why do you want to save all the characters?
You’ll get plenty of trophies if you can survive the night. I highly recommend you try to save people for as long as you can, since that unveils more clues and more of the story. Also, you’ll want to save these characters because the developers at Supermassive Games went out of their way to create an emotional attachment to each character.
