Some examples we’ve used is for every PC to have a couple of goodberries, and if anyone goes unconscious, the unseen servant can feed a goodberry. This is particularly useful since the unseen servant is specifically not a creature and most devastating AoE spells won’t affect it – i.e. fireball, lightning bolt, etc.

For example a level 1 Bard knows 4 spells, but you only have two spell slots that very most likely end up being used for Healing Word and Sleep, so you might as well pick 2 rituals; even at level 2 you have 5 spells known but only 3 slots and probably end up casting the same spells
