By pledging, you’ll lose the wrinklers, but all cookies will go back to being golden cookies instead of wrath cookies. If you can get more benefit from the golden cookies than from the wrinklers, then this can be worth it.

The Elder Pledge stops the Grandmapocalypse for 30 minutes. This can be increased to an hour by purchasing the Sacrificial Rolling Pins Upgrade. The Grandmatriarchs in the page background slowly fade back to normal, then back to the striped blue background. Golden Cookies also start appearing again.
How long does it take to get one mind?
Once you have the research facility you will have to keep buying the upgrades that it unlocks until the “one mind” upgrade becomes available, which should be the 6th one. Each upgrade takes about 30 minutes to research and become available.
