How does way of the Kensei work?
When you hit a target with a kensei weapon, you can spend 1 ki point to cause the weapon to deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.
Can magic missile be dodged?
Yes, in Fifth Edition magic missiles hit their target(s) unerringly.
Why is the Kensei a Master of weapons?
The thematic objective of the class, at least the way I see it, is to allow access to a wider array of weapons to be used with all the other features the main Monk class gets, effectively making the Kensei a master of weapons otherwise perfectly useless (and counterproductive to use) for a monk.
How much damage does a deflect missile do in RuneScape?
Ranged attack, Monk weapon damage, normal/long range of 20/60 ft, and no magic enhancement bonus (unless the projectile itself is magical). You don’t know what fear is until you’ve witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
Is the Kensei as crappy as I think I think it is?
If you’re using a ranged weapon you don’t need to and probably can’t use Agile Parry, so you get two shots and can potentially add 2d4 + Martial Arts Die in exchange for that Martial Arts Die + Ability Mod. Also, Sharpen The Blade and Unerring Accuracy will both help you hit.
Can a missile be used as a monk weapon?
You make this attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. You are making the attack with whatever you just caught, not with anything else. The missile is a monk weapon.
