I’m currently wearing the Archamge’s Robes, Morokei, self-enchanted jewelry for magicka regen and lower destruction cost, and the best light armor I can currently find without buying or smithing: thieves’ guild boots and gloves. No lollygaggin’. If you’re using Morokei then you already don’t benefit from the Mage Armor perk.
