The Disintegrate result overwrites the “fall unconscious” effect for the targeted creature.
Does contingency require concentration?
In 5e spells do only what they say they do. Contingency says nothing about modifying the effects of the contingent spell.
Can you disintegrate a Polymorphed creature?
When a polymorphed creature hits zero HP, it turns back and any excess damage is carried over. When disintegrate drops a creature to zero HP, it is disintegrated outright.
Can you cast contingency multiple times?
You can use only one contingency spell at a time. If you cast this spell again, the Effect of another contingency spell on you ends. Also, contingency ends on you if its material component is ever not on your person.
Can you come back from disintegrate?
A disintegrated creature and everything it is wearing and carrying, except Magic Items, are reduced to a pile of fine gray dust. The creature can be restored to life only by means of a True Resurrection or a wish spell.
Can contingency Counterspelled?
Fireball would need to be counterspelled, but contingency only works spells with a casting time of one action, and counterspell has a casting time of one reaction. Choose one creature, object, or magical effect within range. Any spell of 3rd level or lower on the target ends.
Can you counterspell contingency?
The great thing about Contingency is two fold: You cast the contingent spell upon casting Contingency, and it “take effect” when the condition is met. This means that the contingent spell cannot be Counterspelled.
Can you dispel contingency?
If someone has a contingency that is not triggered when they are affected by dispel magic, it can be dispelled as normal for a 6th-level spell with its caster level.
