What is better 5e or Pathfinder?

I’ve played a ton a Pathfinder and in my opinion 5e is the superior system in every way. The rules are functional and elegant, combat is fast, character design is easy and diverse, and the supplementary books are balanced. Don’t get me wrong. I love Pathfinder, but it’s an over engineered mess compared to 5e.
