Warlock. Taking one, two or three levels in warlock can be great for a sorcerer. Both use Charisma for spellcasting, and warlocks have regenerating spell slots that can be used on low-level spells or converted for endless sorcery points.
Can a warlock use Paladin spell slots?
A Paladin/Warlock will have the regular spell slots of a character on the multiclass spellcaster table of effective level = 1/2 paladin level, and those spell slots will refresh on a long rest as normally provided by the Paladin’s Spellcasting feature.
Can a Paladin multiclass warlock?
The hexblade patron makes warlock a strong combination with paladin for several reasons: Warlocks who choose the Pact of the Blade feature and the Improved Pact Weapon invocation can use their pact weapon as a spellcasting focus. Most paladins need a high Strength to power their attack and damage rolls.
What’s the difference between a paladin and a sorcerer?
Sorcerers get metamagic at level 3 and gain sorcery points at level 2, usable for metamagic or transformable into spell slots. Is it possible to multiclass as a Paladin?
Yes, it’s viable. In general, multiclassing more than 3, 4 levels into another class will lead to your character losing access to his/her most powerful class features or spells at high levels. Specifically, a paladin/sorcerer multiclass is generally not the worst idea.
Is it good to multiclass as a sorcerer?
It’s similar to the paladin multiclass, but you get fewer goodies from it. Nothing in this class is particularly bad for a sorcerer, but a lot of other options are better. Expertise is useful for sorcerers serving as the party’s face or who want to use a lot of utility skills.
Which is the best build for a Paladin?
Built right (and it’s hard to build it wrong), the Paladin/Sorc can become an invaluable asset to any party, being able to fill basically any party role. The Paladin/Sorc is widely recognized as one of the strongest, if not the strongest, multiclass build out there in D&D 5e. One sneak peek at what Paladin/Sorcs can do: Quickened Spell.
