For grid healing, nothing changes, its like using rotas as a DD. For virtual world healing its great as well. I have healbars open and can react to encounters. Long time i didn’t heal but i would see if someone will be covered in flames and will die before he can run out, simply by looking to the encounter and starting mousover healing him.

Usually my main instant cast is also bound to left click mouseover on most classes and it works quite well. You don’t realize how much it can hurt you to have to re-position your fingers to heal. It costs you a good quarter of a second to move your finger from a movement key to a healing key and then back.
How to make a better heal addon other than healbot?
Default UI + Mousover macros. I mouse over my target, just like you would with healbot (at least back when I first used Healbot and threw it out in Wrath), and hit my cleanse button. Make duplicate macros and just swap out the ability name for all your heals and it works just fine and is guaranteed not to break every single patch cycle.
