There is a thing called combat Combat width and you atacked him into hills. stacking 100k units in year 1470 is massively useless. better luck next time. The province Breisgau has 42% hills, 16% mountains. Most likely you had a -2 or -3 malus because of terrain, maybe another -1 for traveling. That alone can make you loose 5-10:1 battles.
