Timeless Body is what Wizards of the Coast has called a “Ribbon”, i.e. a neat ability with mostly story, rather than mechanical, applications. Another ribbon ability is the rogue’s Thieves’ Cant, though that has more obvious benefits to the campaign at large.

You can use a Druidic focus (see “Equipment”) as a Spellcasting Focus for your Druid Spells. Starting at 2nd Level, you can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or Long Rest.
How long can a druid stay in a beast shape?
Beast Shapes You can stay in a beast shape for a number of hours equal to half your druid level (rounded down). You then revert to your normal form unless you expend another use of this feature. You can revert to your normal form earlier by using a bonus action on your turn.
