Warlock spell slots are all the same level, but the spells you know are a mix. When you gain spells, they can be any level up to the level of your spell slots, so you will be limited to level 1 spells at first and gain higher level spells later; however, anytime you level up you can replace one of your previous spells.
How do slot levels work?
The slot levels indicate the highest level spells you know as well as the level at which you will cast the spell. A spell you choose must be of a level no higher than what’s shown in the table’s Slot Level column for your level.
Do warlock spell slots stack?
They gain spell slots of several different levels, the class levels stack (so a wiz 5 / cle 5 has spell slots as a 10th level), and they recover on a long rest.
What level do warlocks get more spell slots?
At higher levels, you gain more warlock spells of your choice that can be cast in this way: one 7th-level spell at 13th level, one 8th-level spell at 15th level, and one 9th-level spell at 17th level.

Next up, spell slots. As a warlock, your spells work differently to wizards or sorceror. Where they have more spell slots, each at different levels say 3 first level and 2 second level. Their spells reset on a long rest. As a warlock, you always cast at the highest level you can, so do not have lower level slots.
When do you regain expended spell slots in Warlock?
You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a short or long rest. For example, when you are 5th level, you have two 3rd-level spell slots. To cast the 1st-level spell thunderwave, you must spend one of those slots, and you cast it as a 3rd-level spell. At 1st level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list.
How many fifth level slots does a warlock have?
At first level, a warlock has one first-level slot, but at 9th level they have two fifth-level slots (but no slots of any lower levels). When you cast a spell using a slot of a higher level than the spell — for example, casting shatter (a second-level spell) using a fifth-level slot — the spell may have increased effects.
