For weapons, monks can either dual wield fist weapons, swords, maces, and axes or use a two-handed polearm or staff.

Can a Monk use a versatile weapon?
Yes, monks can use Versatile weapons for bonus damage. Since quarterstaves and spears don’t have that property, you can use them as versatile weapons all you want.
Can a Monk use martial weapons?
No, they cannot, for a lot of reasons. First, Glaives are a martial weapon; that invalidates it immediately. Glaives also have the Heavy weapon property which makes them ineligible to be a Monk weapon.

The UA does NOT give any monks ‘Kensei Weapons’. 1) The selected Monk Weapons replace the old ones. So your Martial Arts abilities only work with this limited selection. 2) The selected Monk Weapons will not work for Kensei abilities, unless you also select them as Kensei weapons.
Is the bonus action unarmed strike a monk weapon?
Lets you use dex, but doesn’t let you use your martial arts die or your bonus action unarmed strike (though your can still do flurry if you want) since they aren’t monk weapons. Lena, this feat does not ever make a martial weapon a monk weapon. Proficiency is not what makes a weapon count as a monk weapon.
