This could be ‘tested’ by the druid entering an antimagic field: A druid in an antimagic field could not transform into their wild shape (or presumably back) in any event. If a druid already in wild shape could walk into an antimagic field without having their shape removed, then there is no magical effect sustaining the transformation.

As a DM, you should work directly with your druid player to determine what beast shapes they know. If your player has a particular beast they want to transform into (that follows the rules of Wild Shape), you should let them!
