Should I give Frost to Louis?
If you kill the Black-Briar Mercenaries and take Frost but do not bring the horse to Louis, you will eventually be tracked down by Black-Briar thugs who have a bounty on you. Kill them and you will find a note instructing them to “deal with you” (and kill if necessary).
Why is Louis Letrush attacking me?
“Sometimes Louis is hostile when you are going to give him the horse and will attack you on sight. This might occur after stealing items in the house. To work around this bug, just wait for a day in the city and try again.”
Where are Frost’s lineage papers?
Locations. Black-Briar Lodge – Enter the Lodge through the side door, not the front door, and sneak through the basement. Frost’s Papers should be on a table. There are no guards in the basement but they can hear the Dragonborn if they do not sneak and will come to investigate the sound.
Is Frost a good horse?
Frost seems to be more aggressive in combat than other horses. He has more health and stamina than regular horses, but less than the Dark Brotherhood’s Shadowmere. Even when not actually riding Frost, he will, like any other horse, appear after fast traveling to any location that is not within a walled city.
What happens if you talk to Louis letrush?
Louis will vanish if the Dragonborn talks to him without accepting the quest. The Dragonborn can proceed by talking with Sibbi Black-Briar about stealing Frost. The quest can still be completed, but the player cannot speak with Letrush until the quest progresses to the point of either handing over Frost or keeping it.

Louis Letrush may disappear if you talk to Sibbi Black-Briar before accepting Louis deal. The solution described by Elder Scrolls Wiki will require you to go back a few saves if you’re not on PC. Reveal the plan to Maven_Black-Briar and continue the quest as normal.
