I found a dead guy in a secret section of a cave and got the misc. quest to tell Leifnarr’s family of his demise, but I can’t find them in any of the towns, villages or camps. Anybody know? They are at a mill near Treva’s watch. It is on the river that dumps into the lake that Riften is on. I think it is called Heartwood Mill.

When to report leifnarr’s death to his family?

Are there any bugs with the leifnarr quest?
Bugs If you find Leifnarr without getting the quest first, it may not update when you speak to Grosta, making it unable to be completed. This bug is fixed by version 1.0 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. Despite being named Leifnarr by his wife and the related quest, his corpse will be labeled as an unnamed “Nord”.
