Are lair actions spells?
Lair actions should be used to raise the stakes of the encounter and help showcase some of the lair’s flavor and flair. These actions are usually extremely powerful. They can be the equivalent of high-level spells or 3 action legendary actions.
Can a creature take legendary actions while stunned?
Yes, the Legendary Creature could still use Legendary Resistance while stunned or paralyzed.
When do legendary creatures use their lair actions?
If a legendary creature has lair actions, it can use them to harness the ambient magic in its lair. On initiative count 20 (losing all initiative ties), it can use one of its lair action options. It can’t do so while incapacitated or otherwise unable to take actions. If surprised, it can’t use one until after its first turn in the combat.
What are the lair actions for 5e monsters?
Going in alphabetical order, these are all the lair actions for 5E D&D monsters found in the Basic Rules. I’ll adjust them as needed to make them non-creature specific. Where there are variations on similar actions I’ll distinguish the differences with a slash like this: 90/120 feet.
When do lair actions occur in role playing games?

How does the wind effect the lair in RuneScape?
A blisteringly cold wind blows through the area from a point on the ground. Each creature within 120 feet of the point must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 5 (1d10) cold damage. Gases and vapors are dispersed by the wind, and unprotected flames are extinguished.
