Can you cast mage armor while wearing armor?
The mage armor ability explicitly states it does not work with armor. “The spell ends if the target dons armor or if you dismiss the spell as an action.” As everyone else is saying, talk to your DM and mention to the the shield spell which uses a spell slot and a reaction to give +5 AC til the start of your next turn.
Does mage armor stack with other armor?
Mage Armor and regular armor (full plate, etc.) both provide an armor bonus, so they do not stack.
Does mage armor stack with dexterity?
Rules as written, they absolutely do not stack. The both set the PC’s AC to 13 + Dex mod. Neither of them improve an armor class that is already 13 + Dex mod.
Can mage armor be cast as a ritual?
Mage armor (and other similarly minded combat abilities) very intentionally cannot cast rituals for fairly obvious power reasons. Pretty certain rituals still have their costs. It only saves a spell slot.
Does mage armor end when unconscious?
Mage armor doesn’t end because its target became unconscious. It continues to apply even WHILE they are unconscious.
Does mage armor stack with bracers of defense?
Yes, they do stack.
Does mage armor affect unarmored defense?
Unarmored Defense doesn’t work with mage armor.

What happens to your AC when you cast Mage armor?
Currently you can adjust the AC calculation after you cast Mage Armor in order to reflect the change. It would be great if when I cast mage armor it auto-adjusted my AC to 13 + Dex bonus + additional bonuses like a shield and put a drop down with below my AC with 1-8 hours and clear.

Do you have to wear Mage armor in RuneScape?
You can wear leather armor (AC=11+DEX); if you do you cannot cast mage armor on yourself per its description. Or you can cast mage armor on yourself (AC=13+DEX) and not wear the leather. Naively, this is an unambiguously-superior choice. Two more AC points and, since the invocation gives you mage armor at will, there’s no cost in spell slots.
