Esther is first spotted applying her makeup by the turnstile to the entrance to the Battleship Bay gondola station. She addresses Elizabeth as “Annabelle”. When Elizabeth corrects her, she casually shrugs off the reply and walks through to the ticket area for the Gondola Station.
Why did Elizabeth drown Booker?
Her goal when drowning Booker was to end Comstock’s existence, not Booker’s. By drowning Booker, she prevented the creation of Comstock in any universes, and thus eliminated any universes with Comstock in them. This allows for the cutscene at the end in which Booker still has Anna in his possession.

Comstock is an alternate booker where he Made Columbia but cannot have a child since he accidentally makes himself sterile so he steals bookers child Anna and calls her Elizabeth. We know that Songbird was protector of Elizabeth and her only so called friend . It was summoned by flute music. Songbird was nearly unstoppable – killing him by drowning in Rapture depths shows that. His death also reveals that it had violet blood.
