Here is a permanent solution: Boot into the bios using F10 key on startup that is used on most laptops then in the bios screen select the option system configuration. under system configuration you will find something as action mode keys and make it enabled then save the changes and then exit the bios screen.

Because the AddOn is updated daily, if you are recently coming back to the game or you have recently transferred servers/renamed, then it will take until the next day’s database refresh for the addon to include your new character.
