The problem with “blitz” is that real mastery does not come from finding “good enough” moves, but rather finding the best move, time and time again, which requires slow play. Here, blitz is counterproductive, because your highest achievable level is based on the best moves you can find.

Why is there no blitz time control 3?
To mrhjornevik: I could not car less if garbage sub 1000’s use 3 2 or not. None of you guys are anywhere close to being able to handle anything less then a 30 minute game. Of course you also do not have the attention span to be able to play for 30 minutes, That said your advice does seem to be correct.
Which is better 3 you 2 or 5-0 Blitz?
It seems to take 10 times as long to find a game at 3|2 then 5|0 even though 3|2 is a far better format. Is it as I suspect that most of you enjoy being clock playing morons.
